The Desert Guilds Quilt Show is a biennial show held in March in even years.  The next Desert Guilds Quilt Show will be held March 1st and 2nd, 2024. It seems like a long time until then, but lots of planning must take place! Our Show representative will be Karen Howes, the Vendor Chair is Jean Bixby, Publicity will be handled by Kathy Clewell , Elaine Bowden is our Miniatures representative, and the Challenge representative will be Kat Ferguson. We still need volunteers to help with this project.

 FOUR WAYS

This challenge is based on use of the color wheel. Most of us are familiar with the color wheel whether we use it or not. Any way you look at it color is one of our dynamic tools when it comes to design or pleasure in achieving our end product. By limiting our palette unique challenges and results can occur. The premise is to use only two base colors with whatever and how many shades of them you choose.

There are 4 color options ~

YELLOW AND PURPLE

RED AND GREEN

BLUE AND ORANGE

And the classic opposite BLACK AND WHITE

Note: Binding can be any color .

The minimum perimeter of your finished quilt is 60 inches; the maximum perimeter is 120 inches. Your quilt must have three layers, stitched together with finished edges and be basically flat to hang, using safety pins, on a fabric wall (not 3- dimensional or wearable art). Embellishments should not extend more than 1/2 inch from the surface. A sleeve is optional. Your name, title of your challenge and guild name must be on the back of your piece.

Cactus Sewables Challenge Representative is Kat Ferguson katferguson2@gmail.com
