Cactus Sewables Workshops

Outstanding workshops provide members the chance to learn from experts in the fields of quilting and fiber arts. Renowned talent comes from all over the State to teach us different concepts and techniques. A nominal fee is charged and workshops are held at the Yucca Valley Community Center usually the day after each General Meeting. Reserve your place in advance as attendance is limited.

Workshop Rules and Etiquette

  1. The workshop donation will be $25, but could be more due to the varying cost of teachers and workshops. A cash or check donation must be paid at the time of registration.

  2. If you are unable to attend, please notify the Workshop Chairperson. An attempt will be made to fill the slot from the waiting list. If there is no waiting list, you may find a person to take your place. Please check with the Chairperson first.

  3. Children and Babies are not permitted at the workshops. Also, no pets will be allowed. Only certified service animals will be allowed.

  4. Guild members have priority for workshop sign-ups. Non-members may sign up for workshops by placing their name on the waiting list. If there is room in the workshop, an additional fee of $5 beyond the workshop donation will be charged.

  5. Pick up a supply list from the workshop table at the Guild meeting prior to all workshops. Be prepared!

  6. As a courtesy to our teachers, please wear your name tag.

  7. Unless otherwise arranged, please bring your own lunch or plan to pick up something. We will provide snacks and water.

  8. Please be courteous if you need to make or receive a phone call.
